Privacy Policy
Short version: Unbillable collects no personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server. Your usage stays on your device.
What the app reads
iPhone. With your permission, Unbillable reads Screen Time data through Apple's DeviceActivity framework to build receipts. In report-only mode, the receipt is built inside Apple's privacy-preserving extension and the usage data never reaches the app itself. If you enter usage by hand, it is stored only on your device.
Mac. The Mac app notes which app is in front and for how long, and pauses when your Mac is idle, locked or asleep. It does not read window titles, page contents, keystrokes or screen contents.
What is stored, and where
Receipts, your settings and your classification rules are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded, synced or shared with us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.
What leaves your device
Nothing, unless you choose to share. When you tap Share, Save or Print, the app creates an image or PDF of a receipt and hands it to the destination you pick. Receipts contain app names and durations only.
Purchases
Unbillable Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether Pro has been purchased on your Apple Account.
Children
Unbillable does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
